Wax can be used instead of metal by applying several techniques as carving shaping and breaching. Using wax is much easier as it can directly show fin details in short time. You can design, experiment, play, and create with the inexpensive wax until you get your piece. Then comes the next step which I casting the wax to metal either gold or silver. When the wax model is ready you can use it to make a mold, which can be used again and again for casting multiple pieces.
